Rain disruption hits Mustang’s tourism and apple trade
Landslides and river erosion disrupted road, power and internet links in Mustang during a key tourism and harvest period.
The Kathmandu Post reported that heavy rain damaged several points along the Kaligandaki Corridor and made it harder to move apples, supplies and goods through the Korala crossing. Some road sections had reopened, but major damage remained in Myagdi. The report said local officials were working to restore access; travellers should check current road conditions before setting out.
