Interpol reports more than 2,800 firearms seized in 17-country operation
An Interpol-coordinated operation across 17 countries in Europe and Central Asia seized 2,823 firearms, nearly 400 grenades and explosives, and more than 40,000 rounds of ammunition, Interpol said on 9 October. The two-week operation also led to 152 arrests. Investigations are continuing.
