Japan criticized Russia’s request for the Netherlands to extradite International Criminal Court president Tomoko Akane and eight other officials, the Associated Press reported on 9 October. Russia issued warrants for the officials after the ICC’s actions related to the war in Ukraine. The extradition request does not mean the Netherlands will grant it.
