Bagmati seeks additional flood-rebuilding funds
Bagmati Province plans grants for 12 affected local governments and will ask the federal government for another Rs1 billion.
A preliminary assessment cited by The Kathmandu Post put damage to roads, bridges and government buildings at Rs5.69 billion. The provincial plan includes Rs25 million grants for each of 12 affected local units and a request for Rs1 billion in federal support. The assessment also records damage to homes, schools, health facilities, water systems, farms and businesses.
