Nepal’s egg output trails estimated daily demand
A poultry association estimates daily production at 3.8 million eggs against demand of about five million.
The Nepal Layer Poultry Farmers Association says production has begun to recover as more commercial farmers return to the sector. It attributed recent losses to heat, disease and bird flu, and said it hopes output will rise toward earlier levels. The association’s figures and explanations were reported by Onlinekhabar; they are industry estimates, not a newly published government census.
